Homes built to be remembered

Every Radleigh home starts with the land itself — often with trees milled right on the property and stone shaped by hand on site.

Why Radleigh

Two crafts. One family. No shortcuts.

Timber — from our own sawmill

John and his son Jacob operate one of the mountain's most respected sawmills. When a site is cleared, we don't haul the trees away — we mill them into siding, roof trusses, doors, and paneling, cutting boards up to 20 feet long. Your home is literally built from its own land.

Stone — chiseled by hand

On every project, our stonework is shaped the old way: by hand, with a chisel. Foundations, fireplaces that rise 20-plus feet, entry arches — each stone is fitted with the kind of care that machines can't replicate and time can't wear down.

Custom work, inside and out

Wine walls, hand-built doors, log railings, vanishing walls — if you can dream it, our shop can build it. And nothing is possible without great subcontractors: we work with the mountain's best tile setters, painters, and finish specialists.

Built for the mountain

Snow at 5,600 feet, steep lots, materials carried in by hand when the plows can't keep up — we've built in every condition this mountain has. Local knowledge isn't a slogan for us; it's decades of it.

The Builder

John Radleigh

John Radleigh has spent his career building on this mountain — an estimated 400 residences across Lake Arrowhead, Blue Jay, and the surrounding communities. Architects, clients, and fellow tradesmen know the Radleighs not just as carpenters, but as artists of their trade.

Working alongside his son Jacob, John brings a rare combination to every project: a builder's practicality, a craftsman's eye, and a sawmill that turns the trees on your property into custom masterpieces.

His work has been featured on the cover of Western Art & Architecture and as the cover home of the 50th Annual Lake Arrowhead Home Tour — but the real measure of his work is the families who live in it.

"He spent so much time on every detail, every arch, every railing. He was meticulous — because he himself fell in love with this cabin." — Homeowner, featured in Western Art & Architecture
